I normally enjoy the historical docu-drama, but Free State of Jones felt more like a two and a half hour-long romp through history with very little climax glossing over the war of a war drama with a confused sub-plot mixed in about the main character’s great grandson’s trial – which all is completely factual and an interesting history story, but make for a boring movie.
